War belongs in the museum. That is the motto of the War Museum Overloon. The War Museum Overloon presents the history of the Second World War. Here you see how it can be that in five years’ time more than fifty million people lost their lives, but also how the oppressed people resourcefully coped with restrictions and shortages. There is attention to the opposition, but also to the persecution. Finally, there is, of course, also attention paid to the liberation, with special attention to the Battle of Overloon.

From authentic copper brewing kettles to an atmospheric cellar with bottles of Grand Prestige from various vintages. During a brewery visit, you follow the complete brewing process under the guidance of an experienced guide. You will smell the hops, taste the malt and of course... the beer. Afterwards, you can visit the brewery shop and Café de Hertog Jan Proeverij. The café has a special history, situated on the grounds of the Hertog Jan Brewery in Arcen. In 1981, the café opened its doors for the first time and after all these years, it is still a popular destination for many visitors.

Museum de Locht provides a good picture of rural life in northern Limburg from 1850 to 1950 with exhibitions, presentations of old crafts, utensils and tools. The National Asparagus and Mushroom Museum are housed in separate pavilions on the grounds. Here you get a clear picture of the cultivation of both crops and the tools used. On Sundays there are regular demonstrations and special activities for children and adults. These include demonstrations of old crafts such as: baking bread, weaving, tailoring, blacksmithing or making syrup. Children can also have fun with various old-fashioned and modern toys.

Imagine the mysterious world of Siebrandt, a curious inventor who once lived in the woods, during one of his experiments, an enormous explosion took place that turned the house upside down. From that day on, we have never heard of Siebrandt, but at Mind Mystery you can find out all about him. With more than 100 optical illusions, tricks, activities and attractions, the theme park is unique in this form and offers fun and wonder for everyone.
Venlo is a city in northern Limburg located on a bend of the river Maas. The city has a long history which is shown in the characteristic downtown. The city still has the old street structure of the Middle Ages, with a town hall from the 15th century and winding streets that connect the various squares. All 150 shops combined have en extensive assortment, you will find something for everyone! The outlet center is located at the edge of the city center of Roermond. This makes it easy to visit the old town of Roermond on foot. In the historic city centre, you will find department stores and chain stores as well as lovely little boutiques and specialty stores.
In the 21-hectare park, meet cheetahs, tapirs, gibbons, flamingos, giant anteaters, small pandas, reindeer, bear martens and the world's largest group of strokhalves, among others. In the spacious walk-through areas, animals such as lemurs, Indian antelopes and giant kangaroos move freely among the visitors. For the children there is also plenty to do in the park! Thermaalbad Arcen is a Dutch spa located in the outskirts of the village of Arcen. The spa has indoor and outdoor pools with warm water from local deep wells, massage and therapeutic baths, sauna - facilities and therapeutic facilities. In 1987, the pumping up of the thermal water started. The thermal spa was opened in 1989, making it one of the first spas in the Netherlands.
