Here you see how it can be that in five years’ time more than fifty million people lost their lives, but also how the oppressed people resourcefully coped with restrictions and shortages. In the Outlet Center Roermond almost all wellknown brands sell their clothing, bags, jewelry and much more at very affordable rates. All 150 shops combined have en extensive assortment, you will find something for everyone! The outlet center is located at the edge of the city center of Roermond. This makes it easy to visit the old town of Roermond on foot. In the historic city centre, you will find department stores and chain stores as well as lovely little boutiques and specialty stores.
Thermaalbad Arcen is a Dutch spa located in the outskirts of the village of Arcen. The spa has indoor and outdoor pools with warm water from local deep wells, massage and therapeutic baths, sauna - facilities and therapeutic facilities. In 1987, the pumping up of the thermal water started. The thermal spa was opened in 1989, making it one of the first spas in the Netherlands.
From authentic copper brewing kettles to an atmospheric cellar with bottles of Grand Prestige from various vintages. During a brewery visit, you follow the complete brewing process under the guidance of an experienced guide. You will smell the hops, taste the malt and of course... the beer. Afterwards, you can visit the brewery shop and Café de Hertog Jan Proeverij. The café has a special history, situated on the grounds of the Hertog Jan Brewery in Arcen. In 1981, the café opened its doors for the first time and after all these years, it is still a popular destination for many visitors.
